Exactly how and when you are charged, with no surprises.
- How time is measured and rounded
- Workstations are sold as prepaid sessions of whole hours, not by the minute or second. You choose the session length before launching and pay for that length. Time is not rounded up or down during the session, because the duration is fixed when you buy it.
- When charging starts
- The full price of the session is deducted from your credit balance at the moment you launch the workstation — that is, when deployment begins, not when the machine finishes becoming available. Provisioning time is included in the session you purchased.
- Storage, network and other resources
- There are no additional fees. Storage, network traffic and all other resources used by the workstation are included in the session price. We do not meter or bill bandwidth, egress or disk separately.
- Stopping and shutdown
- The session ends automatically when the prepaid duration runs out — you do not need to do anything, and you cannot be charged beyond it. You may also stop the workstation manually at any time. There is no inactivity timeout: an idle workstation stays available for the rest of the session you paid for. Because sessions are prepaid, stopping early does not refund the unused time.
